Wishing Life Away

We hold on to tomorrow instead of living in today.

Instead of living in the present, we wish for the future, for a better day.

We want to hurry up and grow up.

Hurry up and graduate.

Always wishing for a later date.

Hurry up and find that soulmate.

Hurry, hurry, hurry!

We’re too busy pushing fast-forward when we should press play and enjoy the movie.

Time is a thief and life is too brief.

Before we know it, we’re forty, fifty, then seventy-five.

Gone is the time better spent enjoying being alive.

At the end of life, we dream about the past.

Now, we only wish we could rewind.

We held onto tomorrow, only to end up wishing for yesterday.

  2. Life is too short to wish it away because it is crazy. When you are a kid you can’t wait to be an adult and it seems like it takes forever to get to 18 or 21 but then once you become old enough to legally be able to do most of what you want then the years go by rapidly. And this year has been hard because with the Covid and people having to stay home so much, everyday feels the same and now you realize the year is almost over.

  3. Oh by the way, don’t worry about the questions I sent. I am not trying to be rude but it has been well over a week now and only one of the questions would have required research. It shouldn’t have taken with all due respect 30 minutes to complete and I just don’t feel like frankly they were priority which I understand. I asked the same questions essentially to another expert that responded within an hour. No hard feelings, I am just a stickler for customer service etc and I know things come up but when you are told several times they will be finished the next day and they aren’t, you realized no a lot of thought was put into it. I won’t bother you with any more questions. Thanks!

    • I sincerely apologize. I’ve been feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything here lately. I may have to take a break. Been sick off and on with stomach issues (I have ulcers). I try to interact on this blog as much as possible but some days here lately, it’s been difficult. But I completely understand how you feel.

      • My advice to you is if your health is taking a hit and I know your blog is getting popular and all but this is still going to be here. Bullying unfortunately isn’t going away any time soon. You may need to take a step back from all of this for a while and heal.

        • Hey, Darlene. I wanted to let you know that I send the reply to your questions. That first one was a hard one but I realized that maybe I was overthinking the questions a little. Again, I apologize for the slow response. I hope the answers are of great help to you. Blessings to you and your babies! πŸ˜€
