Blogger’s Butt

Spread the love

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and I haven’t been practicing self-care as I should. Oh, yes, I stick up for myself anytime someone violates my psychological boundaries. However, I haven’t been focusing enough on my physical health and I’ve put on a few pounds because I sit behind a computer for sometimes hours a day.

What really stinks is that I eat like a bird due to having had GBS in 2012. But! I don’t get up and move like I should and have lost the pep in my step. I’ve also noticed my caboose getting wider.

Ugh! Middle-Age Spread, here I come!

My energy is pretty much non-existent and although I don’t eat a lot of junk, I could eat a little better. The sluggishness I’ve felt is yucky, to put it mildly.

Luckily, I found a Keto blog and I absolutely loved it! And, I’ve been thinking about trying the Keto plan and doing HIT (High-Intensity Training) in the mornings. Oh, yes, I know I picked a fine time to start with Thanksgiving and Christmas around the corner. But, I do need to start feeling better. So, there’s no time like the present to start taking better care of myself!

Wish me luck. And pray I stay on the wagon until I get to cheat a little on Thanksgiving. Then it’s back at it again until Christmas. πŸ™‚

It’s hard but important to find ways to fit exercise into your day that isn’t an imposition and you enjoy, so it’s something to look forward to rather than see it as a chore. I often take little breaks from the computer and do some stretching, dumb bell or floor exercises (sit-ups, push-ups, planks etc.), rather than doing it all in one exhausting session. Every little bit adds up and helps. I love bushwalking and when mountain bike riding I want to push myself to improve and it really gets the heart rate up. Best of luck πŸ™‚

Oh I love this post as I know I need to eat better too! And I try and exercise (so far it’s just walking a couple days a week, planning on walking more soon!) And I do exercise when I’m taking care of my horses. But I think a better diet makes you feel better, more energy too. Here’s to a more healthy lifestyle! ❀️ Diana

Hi Cherie – loved this blog! Um, as for me, I put off my annual physical and resulting cholestrol test, knowing that the results would not be good. These days, it’s ice cream, full cream in my coffee and whole milk yogurt. Of course these things are interspersed with my usual healthy food. πŸ™‚

Good luck with the Keto – let us know how it works out.

I think that has happened to a lot of us. With the pandemic a lot of us skipped bathing suit season this year, fewer people vacationing, and getting out less. I know you put a lot of work into this and it is appreciated it but I see this respectfully, you can’t let it consume you either. Even when you are online make time for social media, emails, games, etc not just blogging. Blogging makes you sit and not move a lot where I find say in social media even just chatting with someone can get you moving more, laughing, etc. Also as you said lots of exercise and get out of the house every week. Go for walks, go to any shows in your area, attend events, be active and always moving. Never go a full week without getting out of the house.
