Sadly, Many Parents Encourage Their Children to Bully Other People’s Children

bullying parents

Back in 2016, I saw a video, in which a young man was bullied by not only an adolescent girl but also her mother.

In the video, the young man is badly beaten by two, maybe three other boys, who were with the girl and her mother when they spotted the young man in a local park. Listening to the audio, it was clear that this mother was actually encouraging the bullies and cheering them on as they were viciously attacking this young man. Later, it was reported that the mother had been arrested.

Sadly, this was not the first video I had seen of bullying involving a parent. I have watched many videos in the past ten years…violent videos, in which the parent of the attacker actually encouraged and egged on the altercation.

I have seen on the news, reports of parents arrested for attacking children on school buses, in city parks, and schoolyards for a perceived slight against their child.

Also, children and teens are also being cyber-bullied by not only their classroom bullies but the bullies’ parents as well. Just google the Megan Meier case and you will see how this precious child committed suicide because she was being harassed online by not only her teenage bullies but by the mother of one of her bullies.

This type of behavior is horrible enough coming from young people but coming from parents, who should know better, it’s downright disgusting!

It totally amazes me how totally immature a good portion of today’s parents really are! I have personally seen parents act as if they are still in high school and it’s embarrassing, to say the least. And what embarrasses me the most is that the parents are of my generation!

These parents are no better than the bullies they are raising! They try to be their son’s/daughter’s BFF instead of being their parent and teaching good morals and values. Hence one of the reasons I believe bullying is so prevalent today.

Often, parents condone, even encourage their child to bully other people’s children because they have a deep-seated belief that being a bully is what it takes to move up the social hierarchy and be successful in life. They believe that keeping others down is key to being on top.

bullying parents adults

These parents believe that being popular and the toughest kid on the block is what life is all about. Also, I’ve seen parents who have wanted to fight the parents of the child who their child is bullying for nothing more than speaking out. Worse even, I’ve seen cases where the bully’s parents wanted to physically fight the young victim for daring to stand up to their bully child!

Again, the crying shame of it all is that these parents are mostly people in my age group and younger…thirties, forties, and fifties- old enough to have looong known right from wrong! And I wonder if, perhaps, their parents before them were just as bad and the bullying behaviors just moved from generation to generation.

Is it any wonder that bullying is so widespread???

One thing I cannot fathom is how an adult can insert themselves into kiddie confrontations, bashing the other child by calling them degrading names like they themselves are still in middle school. How do they resort to saw despicable acts and continue to keep a straight face?

bully parents

How can people such as these bare to look in the mirror at themselves every day without turning ten shades of red? I just don’t get it. What is wrong with some of the parents of my generation?

Parents of this low caliber do not care about any other children than their own, having no empathy whatsoever. In my opinion, people of this kind shouldn’t have children.

It’s sad that good, wholesome, strong parents, who actually love their child enough to call them out on bad behavior and enforce rules, are a dying breed today and more parents continue to encourage despicable behavior in their children.

What will society and the world be like in another twenty years if we do not address this issue?

You are absolutely true. The children these days do not understand the value of little things in life because their parents don’t care enough to teach them. This is what leads the children to take things and people for granted.

    • cheriewhite says:

You said it all right there, Felicia. Most parents no longer teach kids to have respect for others or themselves and this is why we have problems like this today. It’s sad that some of the parents today are just as immature as the children- little children only learn from childish adults.

  2. Vartika says:

I have seen few parents doing these , they not only ignore their child’s fault but give encouragement to their bad behaviour, it’s evil. You are right. Nice post

  3. Leon Stevens says:

Parents get a head start in molding their children. When they are sent to school, the teachers only have what they are given to work with, so along with all the academic skills to teach, they have to tackle the social skills. One bully is too many, but if there is a bright side, there are more socially responsible parents than not.

    • cheriewhite says:

Right. And it’s the kids of the socially responsible parents who get bullied by the kids of the non-socially responsible parents. It’s sad. Thank you so much for your comment, Leon. ๐Ÿ™‚ <3

Judy Burgio aided and abetted her children’s bullying me. When Louis threatened me, she and Rachel laughed & hi-fived, and I threw my gym sneaker at him and ran like the wind out of the school!

  5. rebecca s revels says:

Though not completely bully related…I was shopping with my elderly mother recently. We turned down a rather narrow aisle where a mother and children were facing toward us though parked in the center of the aisle while searching for what ever. Mother saw us, child old enough to know saw us. No one moved an inch to allow our passage.I guess they were there first after all. While I didn’t speak out against the rude behavior, my thoughts were ‘what lessons you are teaching’. Thankfully this is usually the rare most often people will move over at least enough to pass.

      • rebecca s revels says:

It is. And it is so sad. The child did look to her mother a couple of times seeking direction. Now, I will be honest in that I didn’t speak up and ask for passage. I didn’t ,because the internal warning system was telling me just wait, I feared she meaning mom, was spoiling for an altercation and I wasn’t going to be the one offering.

        • cheriewhite says:

I hear you there. Its bad when someone goes looking for trouble and they usually find it. But I guess she wanted to look tough in front of her perfect little darling. Parents like her actually want their kids to be bullies. And there are many of them out there like her.

  6. Kym Gordon Moore says:

Girl Cherie, you’re so right, bullies beget bullies. But you know what? There’s always a bigger bully than them…and that’s how the fight got started!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ฑ

  7. 80smetalman says:

This isn’t something totally new. Back in my day, (God,I am sounding like my grandfather), many parents wore it as a badge of honour that their child was a bully. They thought their child was being tough.

    • cheriewhite says:

Don’t it though! I’ve seen parents do so much trash talk and even videos of physical fights between parents at a game! But you didn’t see that kind of crap when I was growing up. It just goes to show the moral decay in our society these days! SMH

A letter to my brother wherein he asks: whatโ€™s the problem with my Israeli passport. ื˜ื•ื‘

Itโ€™s complicated. I am involved in the attempt to re-establish the Torah as the Constitution of the Republic. This includes making the lateral Federal Sanhedrin Court system the foundation of the Israeli Courts. I have chosen the issue of police issuing tickets as my political opposition to the existing ื‘ื™ืช ืžืฉืคื˜ vertical court system. By the authority of the Talmud I argue that police cannot unilaterally impose fines. That only the judges of a court have the authority to impose fines. This places me in direct opposition to the existing court system. That gives the State the power to revoke my right to travel abroad. Rav Nemuraskii likewise challenged the vertical Israeli ื‘ื™ืช ืžืฉืคื˜ courts.

To what does this compare? Recently Minister Lieberman dismantled the Orthodox monopoly over Kashrut. The Kashrut โ€œpoliceโ€ ืžืฉื’ื™ื—ื™ื, (served as a ืžืฉื’ื™ื—, till I resigned over the issue of the Rabbanut permitting the places which the ืžืฉื’ื™ื—ื™ื policed to pay the salary of the ืžืฉื’ื™ื—ื™ื. I argued that this violated not taking bribes. Based upon the Torah which forbids judges from receiving bribes. Minister Lieberman, has validated my argument and outlawed the authority of the Rabbanut, and their monopoly control over the kashrut ืžืฉื’ื™ื—ื™ื. Now all ืžืฉื’ื™ื—ื™ื must receive their salaries from sources not affiliated with the places which they police. Wow, thatโ€™s an amazing success!!! The vertical judicial system of Justice, in like and equal measure follows the path of the now illegal Rabbanut. Judges and prosecutors receive their salaries from the State.

Have you ever wondered why the Talmud established Torts Courts on the basis of having 3 judges? A Jewish lateral court ื‘ื™ืช ื“ื™ืŸ โ€” none of the Judges receives any salary from the State. This compares to the Jury system wherein the American revolutionaries, who opposed the notoriously corrupt British Star Courts, established the โ€˜lateralโ€™ jury system. The classic Jewish courtroom which Yohanan ben Zakkai established after he fled Jerusalem, while hidden in a coffin, before Titus conquered the Jewish Capital. This courtroom has 3 Judges. One of the three serves as Prosecutor, the second the Defense Attorney. Both these opposing Judges argue the specific Case before the 3rd Judge of the Court! (Common law โ€” Case\Rule). As a Zionist who seeks to restore the Jewish Constitutional Republic, the Court System ie the Justice system, qualifies a critical requirement for the Jewish State. The current vertical ื‘ื™ืช ืžืฉืคื˜ system models after European courtrooms, just as does the Israeli Knesset/Parliament. My political opposition opposes both.

The term โ€œknessetโ€ has its roots in the kabbala developed during the Middle Ages (think Zohar and Ari mysticism), after the public burnings of the Talmud in Paris, France 1242. Knesset translates as โ€˜collective soulโ€™. My commentary to the Talmud and Rif, both reject the Zohar and Ari mystic schools as fraudulent. Simply no way that the author of the Zohar qualifies as being Shimon bar Yochai, the talmid of Rabbi Akiva. Why? Because all the rabbinic authorities within the Talmud followed the kabbala of Rabbi Akivaโ€™s ืคืจื“ืก definition of Torah Shโ€™Baal Peh. The Rambam codification, like the Zohar, written by an assimilated Jew. The Oral Torah exists as a logic system format, which neither the author of the Zohar, nor the Rambam understood.

Assimilation constitutes as the first face of avoda zara which defines the 2nd Commandment of the Sinai revelation. This opposition research dates back to my time as a student at Texas A&M, wherein I developed the political premise that all revolutions occur when the โ€œethical containment forceโ€ of any given society gets โ€œshatteredโ€. Then I brought as proof the French, Bolshevik, and Iranian revolutions. In all three cases, according to my theory โ€“ which explained history โ€“ (As a history major, Dr. Dunning told me that this new theory qualified as one of the best that he had ever read. What made Troskii the ideal candidate to replace Lenin, his theory known as โ€˜permanent revolutionโ€™. Stalin took credit for โ€˜Socialism in One Countryโ€™, which put him as an equal to Troskii to replace Lenin), all these civilizations entered into chaos and anarchy,(the 2nd verse of the Torah) after revolution shattered the โ€˜ethical containment forceโ€™ of those doomed societies.

The first rule of revolutions, #1. Never a successful violent revolution. Eventually the leader of the revolution views his peers as โ€˜counter revolutionariesโ€™, and has them murdered. Many examples throughout history: but Castroโ€™s Cuba and Husseinโ€™s Iraq โ€œrevolutionsโ€ come immediately to mind. Hitler had his โ€˜night of the long knivesโ€™ wherein he murdered Ernst Rรถhm. Learning history viewed through the lenses of theory, pretty much summed up how Dr. Dunning understood the subject of history. Not till rabbi Nemuraskii did the โ€˜gel effectโ€™ happen, comparable as occurred with Dr. Dunning. Both men made a tremendous impact on my perception of the world.

To what do rabbinic middot, commonly known by the term halachot, compare?ย  To genetic editing of new born children.ย  What traits\attributes/middot does a parent desire in his new born children?ย  Herein defines the k’vanna of tefilla.ย  The Rambam abomination uprooted and destroyed the k’vanna of tefilla as commanded by the prophets of Israel.ย  This crime makes his halachic code an abomination.

The Rambam abomination compares – so to speak – to the liberal equal rights movements.ย  First it started with equality for the blacks, moved to equality for women, then to homosexuality; effectively we now draw the lines of morality upon the sands of the sea shore at low tibe?ย  Political and sexual equality for sexual perverts?ย  Tel Aviv has become the homosexual Capital of the nation of Israel.

The liberal equal rights movements effectively changed the moral ‘goalposts’ accepted by Goyim society in general and Jewish society in particular. ย  In the 1940’s – homosexuality –ย  ‘shrinks’ labeled as a mental disease.ย  Their arrogant ‘blue book of psychology’ stands in the shadows of the Nazi eugenics abomination.ย  The Rambam code, following the Civil War, placedย  this ืจืฉืข upon a perch – as the Hugh Hefner of Yiddishkeit.ย  All rabbinic authorities thereafter never condemned hisย Yad ha-Hazakaas a perversion of the halacha established within the Talmud.

Rabbi Akiva and all the sages of the Talmud understood the purpose of halachot as rabbinic “concrete” middot, whose purpose – to define the k’vanna of the Torah’s “abstract” middot; rabbinic middot effectively expressed and defined the k’vanna of the mitzva of tefilla.ย  The scholarship of Aggadita & Midrash, affixes a Mishna to a specific ื“ืื•ืจื™ื™ืชื midda of the Torah, the k’vanna of a fixed ื ืจื›ื” within the Shemone Esrei.ย  This vision sharply contrasts the ‘Brave New World’, written by Aldous Huxley in 1932, and the abominations committed by Josef Mengele, the Angel of Death.ย

What distinguishes rabbinic middot dedicated unto HaShem through tefilla, from the criminal manipulations of genetic engineering to produce a ‘superior race’?ย  The stark contrast between tohor and tuma middot.ย  The heart and soul of T’NaCH and Talmudic scholarship stands upon the pre-condition which limits avodat HaShem ie the dedication of tohor middot ื“ืื•ืจื™ื™ืชื ื•ื“ืจื‘ื ืŸ unto HaShem as the definition of ‘holy’, strictly limited unto tohor middot – under the blade of the executioners’ ax of ื›ืจืช. ย  If a person attempts to play God with tuma middot\evil spirits – ื›ืจืช.

In similar vein, the Torah abhors witchcraft as an abomination, a perversion which effectively changes the goal posts of the ‘wisdom’ known as Yiddishkeit; witchcraft employs tuma middot as its primary medium whereby it seeks to rule the world.ย  The Statecraft of imperialism, the secularization of witchcraft; the foreign policies of megalomaniacย  ‘Great Power’ rulers, exposed in the nation State histories of our modern world.

The purpose and point of da’avening rabbinic middot unto HaShem.ย  Yidden therein validate HaShem as the true Judge of righteousness.ย  The definition of glory and praise unto the Creator of the Universe.ย  Robbing HaShem of these jewels – rabbinic middot – compares to perverting the sanctity of a korban, dedicated unto HaShem through the fires of the altar, as food fit only for pigs to eat.ย  The dedication of rabbinic middot, how they define the k’vanna of a given Mishna, and how that Aggadita or Midrash define the mussar of that Mishna, which a Talmud scholar affixes to a specific blessing within the Shemone Esrei, this k’vanna validates HaShem as the true faithful Judge, as opposed to some ‘Halachic-Man’ being the center of the Universe.

The Rambam code distorted halacha.ย  It compares to the dogma dictated by Rome in the days of Galileo di Vincenzo Bonaiuti de’ Galilei.ย  The Rambam code makes halacha orbit around ‘Halachic Man’, rather than dedicating halacha through tefilla to validate HaShem as the Center of the Universe, and source of all life. Who other than HaShem qualifies as ื•ืขืฉื™ืช ื”ื™ืฉืจ ื•ื”ื˜ื•ื‘?

I have no idea what the previous comments are about, scratching my head. But I wanted to say that your post is so true. I am not going to lie, I am not perfect and some of your words remind me of moments where I could have been better. It made me look deeper in myself and remember that this is so critical, teaching through example. Even though I admonish bullying with words, I may not be acting properly through example. Thank you for this reminder. I see these “adults” often and gag at the thought of them. I just need to make sure that I do better. Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚ Glad I found this post.

You’re very welcome. Thank you so much for your kind words. I think that all parents have a tendency to act out of character when their child is threatened so I totally get that. However, like you, I’ve also met parents who’s way of life is to bully other adults and their children and like you, they’re the ones who make me gag too. Sending you lots of love and light.
