A Chaotic Society: How Did We Get to This Evil Place?

Spread the love

People burning and stepping on Old Glory,

Dissing the soldiers that fought and bled,

Rewriting history and changing our story,

Hating the country that’s kept them well-fed,

As I see the cities burning, I scream at my TV,

“If you hate it that much, pack up and leave!”

How can it be- people have turn to sheep,

With eyes wide open, yet still asleep,

Believing everything, all of the media lies,

The spin, propaganda, and alibis,

Rich fat cats claiming to be oppressed,

Participation-trophy generation raised not to try their best,

Meritocracy replaced by hypocrisy,

And idiocracy,

Spoiled brats,

And fraidy-cats,

Freedom requires too much responsibility,

So, they’d rather have security,

They should get a one-way ticket to their chosen utopia

Maybe to China, or Cuba, Iran, or even Venezuela!

With fists raised high in the air,

They moan and cry “life’s not fair,”

Life losers with no communication skills,

Making their point with only violence that kills,

The only way they can get their point across,

Is by wearing victim-mentality and entitlement as their albatross,

Mad at the world, claiming they never got their share,

Jealousy and hate toward the successful hard-worker, and the heir,

Screaming, “Gimme, gimme, gimme! You owe me,

Everything should come to me for free,”

“Death to America” is their chant

They have a life-long attitude of “I can’t,”

Spoiled, rich, college kids thinking they’ve got it so bad,

All their whining makes a working-class girl so mad,

They call themselves warriors, they claim, “I’m a star,”

But they aren’t half the men our serviceman and veterans are,

(Which one would you call, “a warrior?”)

Social justice warriors aren’t warriors at all,

Only those who served, fought, and died- all who answered the call,

God bless America and let Freedom ring

Your whiney, crybaby opinions don’t mean a thing

My country ‘tis of thee, sweet land of liberty

Life is what you make it, not what you think it should be

If you want to see social change, then start with yourself,

And put your hate, bitterness, jealousy, and class-envy all on the shelf,

Replace your baditude with gratitude,

And get over yourselves.

  1. Peter Schreiner says:

    Boom!

In their face fantastic! The Democrats and their Brownshirt Marxist brats, punks, and thugs are turning Our Country into… what was the phrase Trump used in reference to another… a shithole.

A USA great poem, obviously from the heart.

    • cheriewhite says:

Thank you so much, Peter! I grew up an Army Brat and my dad love this country and served proudly. He would be beyond disappointed today if he knew what was happening to the country he served and was proud of. And he would be pissed at the fact that his Army has gone “woke.” Have you seen the Army ads lately, they’re both disgusting and embarrassing! Talk about wimping down our military and our own government has done it to satisfy the woke Radical Left! It’s a crying shame!

      • Peter Schreiner says:

My family immigrated from Germany when I was two. We’re naturalized citizens. My father wore his USA flag and eagle ballcap proudly. Many times he told me, “This is the best country in the world.” And he meant it. He would know, being a small boy during WWII and taken captive by the Nazis near the end of the war. Not to fight, but to dig fox holes and other laborious tasks. The stories of his experiences came out later in life, holding to himself the atrocities he and other captive children endured at the hands of Nazi bullies. One might get the feeling that all Germans supported Hitler, but they’d be wrong. Perhaps like generations to come, people may think that everyone supported these popular Marxist ideologies; should they prevail.

Likewise, Dad would be sorely disappointed. And I’m sure he would have worn a MAGA ballcap. 🙂

        • cheriewhite says:

Wow, Peter! I’m so sorry your Dad endured such at the hands of the Nazis. But I’m so glad he got the chance to come to America for a better life. And I realize that not all Germans supported Hitler, in fact, I’m sure that most of them did not. Just like most Americans don’t support the Left and it’s goons and politicians. But sadly, the media keeps that in the dark, just as Hitler’s media did back during the 1930’s and ’40s.

          • Dawn Pisturino says:

After the failed recall election in CA, I’m not so sure that people don’t support it. I think a lot of Democrats support anything that is anti-establishment, anti-Trump, and anti-Republican. I would call them oppositional defiant, a term used to describe some juvenile delinquents.

  2. Andrew says:

“Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.” I think part of the issue is that life has gotten too comfortable for those in the West, additionally social media fills our minds with all sorts of unrealistic expectations.

Overcoming hardship and discomfort, no matter how uncomfortable it may be, will all do us some good.

  3. Pajama Party 39 says:

I blame the right. Their love of wealth and distain for the poor fractured the country. The United States has been going downhill for many years but Trump was the final straw.

    • cheriewhite says:

You certainly have a right to your opinion? But who was burning down neighborhoods last year? people on the right or the left? Who was looting and robbing stores like Footlocker and other businesses last year, people on the right or the left? Who killed David Dorn, last year, who, by the way, was a black man? people on the right or the left? Who wants to take away our basic freedoms, the freedom to bear arms, the freedom to go to church, the freedom over our own bodies and the right to choose whether to have the jab or not? People on the right or the left? Who is trying to turn this country into a Socialist country, people on the right or the left? Who is distributing sexual materials in school to children as young as five? People on the right or the left? And lastly and most importantly, who are we NOT allowed to criticize? People on the right or the left?

      • Pajama Party 39 says:

I could not disagree more. Who led an insurrection? Your Cult leader Trump is a major bully. What party is filled with racism, seismic, etc. The right has set back women 50 years and I am so freaking sick of people claiming their guns are going to be stolen. No one is trying to take anyone’s guns. It is called common sense. No one needs an AK/47 or something that fires off tons of bullets in a second. First graders were shot at Sandy Hook school in seconds and not a dang thing done about it. That is not a free country. And the left and right both get criticized a lot. Funny thing about Social Media, I have never once been banned because I stay away from the subject. And let’s talk about why Covid is still rampant..the right especially Southerners. Hate to tell everyone but Polio, small pox, etc would still be a major problem if it weren’t for vaccinations. That Diet Coke we drink, that fast food, that prescription medication etc. Guess what? We don’t know what is in it. And let’s talk about the right trying to make deals with the Taliban.

        • cheriewhite says:

Wow! Sounds like you’re pretty angry. But proof has already been show that J6 was not an insurrection, it was made to look that way by Antifa members who disguised themselves as Patriots. And Trump’s no longer president, yet people continue to blame him for things that have occurred since the inauguration. And if you want to talk about racism, as a dead center Independent, Im not saying that there aren’t right-wing nuts who are extremists, because there are. However, the Democrats are the party of racism. Back during the Civil War, it was the Democrats- especially Southern Democrats (Dixie-crats) who fought against the abolition of slavery. Lyndon B. Johnson was a Democrat and he was a devout racist. He ordered the FBI to.spy on Martin Luther King Jr. and his family because he felt threatened by him. As far as women being set back, Biden and the Progressive Radical Left are the ones who have set women back in the name of transgender equality, I won’t bother to explain this because I already have in a few recent posts. And they set women back a lot further than 50 years. More like a century or more. And yes they are trying to take guns away from law abiding citizens, Beto O’Roake has admitted that on several occasions. And the reason why nothing was done about the Sandy Hook shooting is because the monstrous piece of crap who did the shooting turned the gun on himself and killed himself to keep from going to prison. So, what more was there to do? You can’t arrest and indict a dead man. And the only people responsible for COVID are the CCP, not Southerners, or any Americans for that matter, Sandy. And you’re right, we don’t know what’s in Diet Coke or fast food but either do we know what’s in the Vax. But the Frontline Doctors know now don’t they? They’ve been typing to warn us but the media keeps silencing them. Gee I wonder why? And the right tried to make deals with the Taliban? Sure, just like the Biden administration did when they left billions of dollars worth of US issued weapons, military vehicles, fighter planes, equipment and money for the Taliban to come in and seize. Ever heard of something being so stupid its deliberate? Again, I ask you, Sandy. If what the Patriots are saying are lies, then why would the Radical Left try to silence them and terrorize them with the threat of cancel culture? What are they afraid of? And why are they taking away people’s rights to force them to get the jab rather than giving them a choice? It seems to me that if there wasn’t something to the so-called “conspiracy theory” that the vaccines are bad, they wouldn’t be pushing so hard and trying to force people to take it. Two years ago, I would’ve have believed a lot of the truths that have now come out. But ooo, boy! These two years have really taught me a lot and opened my eyes! And I’m seeing through all the smokescreens that CNN and other MSM outlets are putting up. And when they try to take away the sovereignty we have over our own bodies, They’ve gone too far. If you have your opinion and I respect your opinion. Now, I’d appreciate it if you’d respect mine and we can agree to disagree. We’ll have no further discussion on this. You do you and I’ll do me. Thank you.

        • Dawn Pisturino says:

In the first place, the protest on January 6th was NOT an insurrection. It was no different from the feminists trying to break into the Senate during the Kavanaugh hearings, but of course, liberals don’t talk about that. And the FBI cleared President Trump of any involvement, so get your facts straight. You sound very hateful, biased, racist, and closed-minded. It’s Biden trying to legitimize and make deals with a terrorist organization, one of the worst in the world. It’s clear to me that you have no clue what you are talking about. And “staying away from the subject” is why there are so many ostriches with their heads in the sand in this country. The US Constitution is the law of the land, whether you like it or not.

    • Dawn Pisturino says:

Sorry, but that is total bullsh*t. Just what I would expect from a die-hard liberal. Trump asked people to take responsibility for themselves and work for a living, protect our borders and national security, and put America and THE AMERICAN PEOPLE FIRST. The country is in a mess right now because of Joe Biden and the Democrats – not Trump. Throwing money at problems with no common sense will eventually (sooner rather than later) lead to another recession, so BE PREPARED. There will be no money left to bail people out.

  4. Kym Gordon Moore says:

Cherie, I appreciate your beautiful poem sweetie. After looking through the previous comments, my outlook is clearly very different and being from a different generation, culture and race, and clearly an American with many veterans in my family who were discriminated against and spat on just because of the color of their skin, there are so many “isms” hard working, God-fearing people like me, that many opinions I have read on various forums will never truly understand. Yet, while I appreciate and respect people’s opinions, (you could be more aware of and learn from if we listen) whether I agree with them or not, everyone has the right to whatever their opinion is. I clearly see that we will continue to be a divided country, because it seems like there is no willingness to compromise, no one talks only shouts, the blame game only continues to grow, and the spewing out of unsubstantiated opinions only ignites more fires. Have a good day sweetie.

    • cheriewhite says:

Girl! You made the perfect comment here! 💯🎯 And you’re so right on all points! You and I came from a generation in which we could agree to disagree and respect differences of opinions. Oh, girl! How I miss those days! 😢

      • Kym Gordon Moore says:

I appreciate that Cherie and I hope that somehow everyone will stop shouting, blaming and bullying, and instead start listening, being more compassionate and use their indoor voices to speak clearly and effectively. 😉 I know everyone is passionate about how they feel and what they believe in, but we must realize that all of our actions can either divide or unite, because while we are fighting, others are watching. That leaves us so vulnerable. 😔 Let’s hope that it doesn’t take something else so horrifying and so extreme to bring us back together, regardless of what side of the aisle you are sitting on. As Joan Rivers used to say, “Can We Talk???” Hugs and smooches!!! 🥰 😘 🤗

    • Dawn Pisturino says:

The younger generation could learn a lot from studying the protests of the 1960s and 1970s. People spoke out and exercised their right of free speech. They didn’t try to shut each other up. It’s only by a free exchange of ideas that progress is made. The Left has concluded that they are the only ones who are right, and everybody else is wrong. Yet, they don’t have the wisdom, critical thinking skills, or common sense to put their agenda into practical practice. They are flying by the seats of their pants, in my opinion, which can only lead to disaster. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, and when the reaction comes, it’s going to be bad.

  5. goodvibes40 says:

Can I say this at the risk of offending everyone. But a lot of the problem lies because of..look at the comments. Here I am on an antibullying site and the comments are political. I like this blog but frankly it has become increasingly political. I have read many times Cherie says she is an independent but with all due respect you aren’t. You come across and I am not trying to be mean but somewhat radicalized to the far right. You aren’t an independent, not once have you ever not taken a shot at the far left or not defended the right. Pajama Party, you have stated you are an independent. The same as Cherie, you have always in your post sided with the Far Left. You are a liberal. Both of you are entitled to your beliefs, you have that right but neither one of you is an independent.

But Cherie, YOU and Pajama Party YOU, and others commenting here ARE the problem. At times I am too, everything has gotten so politicized that both parties couldn’t agree how to get a cat out of a tree. Every issue is about taking sides and who your Cult leader is. I have never seen a more radical group of people than Trump supporters, but when I am on Twitter, I am seeing an increasing number of radicialized Biden supporters. And I just shake my head and think to myself how did this country become this. There is no middle ground anymore on ANYTHING. The United States is lost. Both parties have drawn their line in the sand and if you are radicalized on either side, forget about it.

Take this blog. I have to admit it is beginning to lose me because it has become about taking sides instead of the very serious and real issue of bullying. I come here to read about bullying issues but it is slowly becoming a political blog with bullying beginning to become secondary. That turns me off. I will continue to read…for now but this blog is starting to lose me because it is becoming something it is not supposed to be BUT is a metaphor for what this country is.

    • cheriewhite says:

You and me both. I like to debate, but sensibly. I don’t name call and attack the person who doesn’t agree with me. But I agree to disagree and move on. There will be times when people will get angry at you for your opinions. It’s a part of life and I accept it. I also grant others the right to disagree.

      • Dawn Pisturino says:

You can’t speak the truth without upsetting some people, as President Trump found out. If we are always going to lie and cover up in this country, nothing is going to change for the better. Just look at the mess the lying media is in. Just look at the mess the Democratic Party is in. Lies and more lies leads to the mess this whole country is in.

  6. KT Workman says:

Your poem is spot on, Cherie. And I think things are only going to get worse.
I’m a middle-of-the-road conservative…my husband is a liberal who sufferers from TDS. He believes everything CNN and MSNBC says is gospel. He cannot discuss political issues with me without getting angry because I don’t believe as he does. And though I listen calmly to his side of the issues, he can’t listen to me without going off the deep end. He has been well indoctrinated, as have many people. And they are the ones who make all the noise, so they are the ones who are catered to.

    • cheriewhite says:

I’m sorry to hear that, Kathy. It definitely makes it rough when the difference of beliefs is in the household. And it’s the squeaky wheel that gets all the grease. I believe we need to make some noise too, but in a much different way than they do.

  7. rts - Facing the Challenges of Mental Health says:

Cherie, I am sixty yrs old and remember as a young kid smoke rising from the Detroit across from Windsor, Ontario. The skyline was full of smoke, the borders were closed.
I have a paternal uncle who left Canada, joined the American army and fought in Vietnam. Some in his own siblings called him a traitor. I thought of him as a “hero”.
America is not the only nation that is divided by politics and racism. Look to your neighbor in the north, Canada. Canada is divided by east vs west politics.
Growing up in Windsor I saw first hand how some were so full of hatred towards those who were black.
I am not sure how this could be remedied, but maybe it starts with the top, leaders politically and spiritually. Congregations are also divided by politics and some racially.
Here in Canada our First Nations People are treated like second rate humans, it is a stain of the Nation of Canada.

    • cheriewhite says:

Absolutely, Dwain. I’ve read about how bad the division is in Canada. Many people are also divided in the United Kingdom as well. I think this is worldwide and it’s the agenda of Klaus Schwab, George Soros, Bill Gates, and the other power non-elite in order to usher in the New World Order. To billing in their NWO and Great Reset, they subtly engineer this worldwide division and Order the media to spin lies and propaganda.
