Life’s Most Embarrassing Typos

Spread the love

I’m sure we’ve all accidentally posted typos that were downright embarrassing and once we read it after it was too late, we slapped our foreheads if if we’d “had a V8.”

Here’s my story:

While blogging recently, I replied to a thank you post from one of my readers, typing, or should I say, meaning to type,

“My pleasure, honey.” and sent the reply.

Feeling satisfied with what I’d typed (or what I’d thought I typed), I rose from my computer chair and went to the wash room long enough to load the washer with last weeks dirty clothes.

Once I started the wash, I came back to my computer. I looked on the screen and when I saw it, my mouth dropped and chin fell to the floor as I jumped with shock!

I had accidentally typed,

“My pleasure, horny.”

I could feel my cheeks sting and my face turn 10 shades of red. My mind screamed, “Oh, Lord! I did not!

My mind went into a panic as I wondered how many people had seen it in the time it took for me to get up, go load the wash, turn it on, and come back. This is language I don’t normally use. So, you can imagine how I was scrambling on my keyboard and typing feverishly to edit that reply!

Once the reply was corrected and saved, I could only breathe a sigh of relief. Now that it’s over, I can only laugh. I think it’s healthy to poke fun of yourself sometimes.

How many of you have accidentally made embarrassing typos like this? Feel free to comment below. Let’s make it fun!

I merely turned off the automatic portion, so now it underlines words in red, which it disagrees with, but it isn’t allowed to make corrections… I can still mess up, sometimes due to kittens racing across the keyboard, sometimes to not paying proper attention, but the results are much better (my opinion) than allowing the computer to choose.

LOL, yes, they can be cute, but I suspect they might have been computer hackers in a past life… Rumble has sent 2 emails – didn’t even have the e-mail program open! In each e-mail, he put in a 6 digit code – they were different, but each 6 long… I suspect codes to accomplices… Merlin’s skills are different – no emails, but he can get that laptop to do things I never imagined… have needed to reboot 3 times due to not being able to unsnarl whatever he did…

My phone keeps autocorrecting “the” to “thr”. I even told it to stop autocorrecting. So if I don’t check all my “the’s” all the time, they are “thr”. Have to laugh.😃❤

I make typos all the time. It is what it is, there’s no point beingembarrassed. Only one of my hands works.
But something like yours, I’d maybe feel the need to follow up on it – unless I felt that way, of course 🤣

🤣😂🤣😂 You’re right about that, feeling embarrassed is fruitless. I’m so sorry about your hand. I can’t imagine only being able to use one hand. But it sounds like you’ve adapted and overcome. Kudos to you, Songshine. 😊🤗

Girl, I hate when I do that. 😫 I try to reread what I wrote in response to comments before sending the message, and often read a word that isn’t even there, “the invisible figure it out for yourself word, and fill in the blanks! 😝 I hate when I make typos, especially with the help of that demonic autocorrect. But as they say, shit happens!!! 🙄
