4 Ways to Handle a Cyber-Stalker

Spread the love

If you have dealt with them, you probably know they can be relentless in their pursuit of you. I had one woman in particular stalk me on social media about 4 years ago, and without a doubt, I know who it is.

I’m not one to complain or to have a victim mentality. And I won’t stress out over it because I have enough people who know me well enough not to get hoodwinked by smears.

I know that being afraid is exactly what she wanted, and I didn’t give her the satisfaction. However, I was a little concerned. Who wouldn’t be? Being cyber-stalked isn’t fun.

This woman needed help. She sent me nasty messages and stalked all of my social media pages. And at different times in the last four years- several times in 2018, she’s returned again since. She’s one of those stalkers that attacks you, disappears for a while, then comes back again with more hatred.

This is all because I deleted her from my friend’s list for making offhand comments and sarcastic remarks to some of my posts.

I’ve blocked her. However, she has had her sister, her son, and a few others stalk me and even stalk my husband and kids. We have since blocked all of them.

It just goes to show that she’s a coward and doesn’t have much going for her. Because if she did, she wouldn’t resort to any of this.

Her latest act is stalking me on a few other pages such as Amazon and Google books.

She was at her craziest in 2018 when she threatened to look up my address, then get on a bus and come pay me a visit (She lives out of state now).

I’m glad she thought I was worth the travel expenses! (Hee-hee!)

Understand that with someone as sick-minded as she, all threats should be taken seriously, And I put a few friends on alert just in case she tries anything with them.

So, know this:

1. When you have a cyber-stalker, do respond. But never react!

2. Never stay silent about it but put the word out to family and friends who love you because it can make all the difference in whether or not your attacker is caught should they take it to the next level and try to hunt you down.

3. At the same time, keep an eye on all your business online and be aware of your surroundings when you’re out.

4. Do your best to walk confidently and look like someone a criminal would think twice about messing with.

Do these things, and you’ll surely feel better, be better able to relax and enjoy life.

With knowledge comes empowerment!

Wow! That’s just nuts!!!! My first thought about these kinds of people is “you must have a lot of time on your hands”! LOL I’ve only had one person come “at me” with a negative comment on one of my posts. I can’t imagine dealing with this for a long period of time. Your advice is terrific and wishing you a very peaceful weekend! Leigh

I realize a cyber-stalker is a little bit different situation than a troll, but I’ve always heard, “Don’t feed the trolls.” In other words, don’t take the bait and respond to nonsense. Why swing at a pitch in the dirt? But I understand what you mean about respond, don’t react. This is good stuff, Cherie! Most helpful. Thank you!

That guy L*wrence Morr* is writing mean comments to me just because I said “Cherie is my friend” after he said mean things about you. He writes “Christian” posts but sounds like he’s mentally disturbed, really. Then, he commented on one of my comments to someone else and used a bunch of Bible verses to back up is so called “claims”. I’ve experienced people like this in the past and they have some sorta cult-like characteristics and are almost fanatical. These kind of people tend to give true Christians an untrustworthy name. Just cuz I said “Cherie is my friend”, now he’s on a hate-kick.

Lawrence Morra wrote: “… Someone sure talks about narcissists a lot, and then goes projecting such pushy, arrogant and immature female traits, by one who injects herself into a location “to only take out vengeance or prove something so foolish,” like some other persons tend to do; which might be to try proving they will have the “last word” when they get blocked on Social Media by a good man who doesn’t like anything about them, and thusly “show who is boss” but all of it so “frivolous and foolish,” for like I say; “a real grown up woman and virtuous wholesome woman with “better things to do;” wouldn’t get caught dead involving herself in such trite matters not of her concern!

Here is some Scripture any woman should consider while she smokes her peace pipe or even if she don’t got one of those!

1 Timothy 5:13 “And if they are on the list, they will learn to be lazy and will spend their time gossiping from house to house, meddling in other people’s business and talking about things they shouldn’t.”

It is best for a Christian man to find a “true” Christian woman. Proverbs 31:12 “She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.”

Proverbs 5:6 “For she cares nothing about the path to life. She staggers down a crooked trail and doesn’t realize it. So now, my sons, listen to me. Never stray from what I am about to say: Stay away from her! Don’t go near the door of her house!”

Proverbs 7:24-26 “Now then, my sons, listen to me; pay attention to what I say. Do not let your heart turn to her ways or stray into her paths. Many are the victims she has brought down; her slain are a mighty throng.”

Proverbs 21:19 “Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife.”

Proverbs 25:24 “It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared with a quarrelsome wife.”

Proverbs 12:4 “A wife with strength of character is the crown of her husband, but the wife who disgraces him is like inward decay(a cancer).”

Proverbs 5:3-4 “For the lips of an immoral woman are as sweet as honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil. But in the end she is as bitter as poison, as dangerous as a double-edged sword.”

Proverbs 30:20 “This is the way of an adulterous woman: She eats and wipes her mouth and says, I’ve done nothing wrong.”

1 Corinthians 15:33 “Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”

Judges 16:13-18 “Then Delilah said, “You’ve been making fun of me and telling me lies! Now tell me how you can be tied up securely.” Samson replied, “If you were to weave the seven braids of my hair into the fabric on your loom and tighten it with the loom shuttle, I would become as weak as anyone else.” So while he slept, Delilah wove the seven braids of his hair into the fabric. Then she tightened it with the loom shuttle. Again she cried out, “Samson! The Philistines have come to capture you!” But Samson woke up, pulled back the loom shuttle, and yanked his hair away from the loom and the fabric. Then Delilah pouted, “How can you tell me, ‘I love you,’ when you don’t share your secrets with me? You’ve made fun of me three times now, and you still haven’t told me what makes you so strong!” She tormented him with her nagging day after day until he was sick to death of it. Finally, Samson shared his secret with her. “My hair has never been cut,” he confessed, “for I was dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as anyone else.” Delilah realized he had finally told her the truth, so she sent for the Philistine rulers. “Come back one more time,” she said, “for he has finally told me his secret.” So the Philistine rulers returned with the money in their hands.”

Mark 6:23-27 “He even vowed, “I will give you whatever you ask, up to half my kingdom!” She went out and asked her mother, “What should I ask for?” Her mother told her, “Ask for the head of John the Baptist!” So the girl hurried back to the king and told him, “I want the head of John the Baptist, right now, on a tray!” Then the king deeply regretted what he had said; but because of the vows he had made in front of his guests, he couldn’t refuse her. So he immediately sent an executioner to the prison to cut off John’s head and bring it to him. The soldier beheaded John in the prison.”

1 Kings 21:25 “No one else so completely sold himself to what was evil in the Lord’s sight as Ahab did under the influence of his wife Jezebel.”

Isaiah 3:16-18 “The Lord says, “Beautiful Zion is haughty: craning her elegant neck, flirting with her eyes, walking with dainty steps, tinkling her ankle bracelets. So the Lord will send scabs on her head; the Lord will make beautiful Zion bald.” On that day of judgment the Lord will strip away everything that makes her beautiful: ornaments, headbands, crescent necklaces.”…”

He doesn’t even know me. He is taking a broken thread of what he has chosen as “evidence” to crucify me (so to speak).

Sounds like a nightmare, Cherie! Honestly if you can’t agree with someone’s viewpoint why waste your time stalking that person? An opinion is one’s own and so long as you are clear it is your opinion, others can agree to disagree. And move on.
