Here, here! I have many thoughts on this. So many people think they can’t live without a man or woman. They basically date or marry the same type of person over and over again. They may be in a different body but it is the same person again and again. We should be with people who are supportive, not obsessively jealous, and want us to succeed.
And friends, true ones are in short supply. We all need an inner circle and I try to be a true friend. I try to text, check my social media and email daily and dedicate time to my friends daily. If the person I am with can’t handle that, they don’t last long.
I totally agree. We should be surrounded by people who love us and want the best for us. However, if we ever find that the people we’re surrounded by only subtly abuse us, then we’re better off standing alone. The trick is to be selective in who you surround yourself with and how we do that is to pick those who treat us well and with love and respect. Blessings, dah-ling! 🙂 <3
Absolutely, Bella! A house full of kids can wear you out, girl! You love them dearly, but sometimes you have to recharge those batteries! LOL My kids are grown and I love them and my husband. But, sometimes I need my me-time and I usually get it when my husband is on a long road trip for work. And I get so much more done around the house! 😀
So true and this really can apply to bullying. In high school, the thought of not having a significant other was unbearable to me and you make some mistakes. Those mistakes, if you aren’t being bullied, can at least lead to a less than stellar reputation.
As I got older I realized I would not settle. I have much to offer and I want an equal partnership. And as far as friends, that is one reason I doing a research project on friendship. What I ultimately have discovered is most people struggle to name even a few true friends that they have much trust for. We should value the true friends we have.
Oh yeah, so true! 👏🏽 🙏🏽 🙌🏽
Absolutely true dear Cherie ☺

Then I have my alone time to recharge.

👌👌👌✒️
Being alone is so soothing and I can think clearly. A mom with a house full of kiddos and a husband takes advantage of alone time. LOL

I agree! When my hussband is gone I get so much done. But Covid has stopped travel and my progress. LOL
Oh, girl! I hear you there! 💯

You’re so right! True friends are the type of people who are rare. They’re hard to find and if we find some, they’re worth more than gold.
Guess this explains me.
It okay though. You should never give your time to those who hurt you. And trust me, you’ll find your tribe sooner or later.
Is that saying you’re not my tribe? Lol!
No, I’m not saying that. LOL But it takes a while to find them and to know if they’re really your tribe. 😀
I was picking on ya. You laughed so I guess I did something right 🤜🙌
LOL You did.
Word!!!!!
I certainly agree with this 🌞
😊🤗
Having that moment right now. 🙂
Enjoy. 😊💖
