To many young people are dying before their lives begin. Parents, please teach them confidence and self-love. Teachers, please help them to flourish. Adults, give them a shoulder to lean on.

Although not autism-related, Jack’s death is very sad. He was so talented and had a great future ahead.   1. Cherie, I have a cousin who is autistic.
    She doesn’t speak.
    My aunt had her to start to use sign language. It worked, she now is able to have a conversation with people. For me though I usually have to ask her mother what was said.
    I do know one thing, the sign language for calling someone a “pig”. She learned that when she was quite young. She would do that and just start giggling. It was all in fun as far as she was concerned.
